WHY ENGAGE IN A MENTORING PROGRAM?
Often, after students graduate from their 200 hour Teacher Training it helps to continue their journey. As everyone is different, so is their readiness to teach after graduation. Our mentorship program is a chance to participate and help build that community in a sustainable way that allows you to walk away feeling confident in your teaching and in your knowledge of the yoga industry.
As a yoga teacher, you are embarking on an amazing journey of learning and giving. While you have a completed 200 hour YTT, there is more to learn. Utilizing a mentorship will hopefully help you to build the skills you need to teach well. This program is here to build knowledge and confidence, it is here to offer connection, cohesion, development and opportunity.
WHAT IS A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:
Our mentorship is available to people who have recently graduated from a 200 hour teacher training program, but still feel the need to learn more before stepping into their personal role. At its core, mentoring enables you the benefit of a supportive person who will push your teaching skills to the next level.
We’ve created the Tovami Mentorship Program for people like you who want to start ahead of the game!
OUR PROGRAM
Option 1
Option 1 is only for teachers who have graduated from Tovami Yoga's 200 Hour Teacher Training

Group meetings as well as weekly 1-on-1 sessions with your mentor/email reports from you and your mentor. All meetings will be coordinated by the mentee.

Plan sequences and class design/theming to be reviewed by your mentor

Homework assignments as needed

Take 2 classes per week and observe 1 class per week

Teach 1 community class
-
Do 1 Karma Yogi shift per week

Please note- The mentorship program is designed to support your next steps and must be headed up, organized and driven by the mentee.
The Details
Cost: $150 per week for a minimum of 6 weeks. Partial scholarships are available.
Requirements

Completion of Tovami Yogas 200 hour Teacher Training

Passing an evaluation with our lead mentor. Remember, completion of the mentorship program is not a guarantee of a teaching spot at Tovami Yoga.
Enrollment
This mentorship program is open ONLY to individuals invested and participating at Tovami Yoga in a capacity approved upon by the studio. To teach in any capacity (including team teaching and community classes) at the studio you must have the following:

Mindbody Training (can be done in house)

A picture usable for advertising and website

A short, well written bio for advertising and website

Social media utilization
Option 2
Option 2 is only for teachers who have graduated from another 200-hour Teacher Training program
