This intensive, inspiring, and fun program explores the mind, body, and soul connection in the lives of our tweens and teens.
If you have thought about making a difference in the lives of young people, this training is for you!
In this training, you will
Learn about brain development, the anatomy and physiology of growing teens, and how yoga and mindfulness can support this stage of development
Identify the differences between a tween and teen and their emotional and mental intelligence
Learn how to teach adolescents to cultivate community and build trust within themselves
Explore challenges teens are facing today, and learn how yoga can help develop self-awareness and resiliency while navigating daily life pressures
Structure lesson plans and classes to focus on the complete physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of students
Review age appropriate poses, including partner poses
Access guided meditations, music to calm the nervous system, and other support resources.
Make a difference in the lives of young people by helping them learn self-care tools for their personal journey
Learn how to teach yoga in the classroom and school setting, as well as working with at-risk youth and underserved communities
Be able to teach the yogic principles and charkra system in accessible language teens can relate to
Feel confident while teaching tweens and teens specific breathing and meditation techniques to control and balance their emotions
Identify and explore the primary emotions, and how to help adolescent develop tools to better manage their responses
Build confidence and connection with your audience to create a safe and encouraging environment for adolescents
Join a community of educators and yoga teachers inspired to teach and learn for peace and love
Bring peace, yoga, and mindfulness into your life in order to help teens bring peace, yoga, and mindfulness into theirs

Led by Susan Fried, Owner/Director of Budding Buddhas Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness, and Michelle Ganpat, E-RYT. This training will allocate significant time to sequencing classes, incorporating age-appropriate themes, classroom management, teaching practice, and constructive feedback of each individual’s teaching progress. It is designed for the practical application of teaching in homes, yoga studios, classrooms, and more as well as the personal employment for you and your family. You will gain concrete knowledge and extensive amounts of exceptional ideas to create an original, captivating and fun yoga experience for kids of all ages!
