We have a love-hate relationship with boat pose. DO YOU?

Today's #TovamiPose is Boat Pose, or Navasana! This pose is the ULTIMATE core strengthener. It engages your entire body, from your shoulders down to your legs, in a fight against gravity while balancing on your buttocks! Check out some of our favorite tips for this intense posture.

#TovamiTip 1: If you can't hold the posture with your legs extended (yet), take the variation with your knees bent, as demonstrated by #TovamiTribe member, @sweetkarmayoga. Doing this will allow you to properly engage your core instead of relying on other muscles to compensate.

#TovamiTip 2: Envision one long line from the crown of your head to the tip of your tailbone. Exhale, pull your navel towards your spine and with each inhale, find some space and imagine getting longer through the torso.
