This week's #TovamiPose is Boat Pose!

Navasana, or Boat Pose, demonstrated here by Michelle Ganpat,  is a powerful core strengthener! This seated posture that requires balance, flexibility, and strength! Here are some of our favorite tips for this pose!

As always, listen to your body and take any modifications that you need!

  • A great way to start is by practicing the variation demonstrated in the above picture! If it is too challenging, you can drop your legs so that your toes are lightly touching the ground. If you need more of a challenge, straighten your legs!

  • Find some length in your neck by actively drawing your shoulders down and back.

  • Engage your core by pulling your belly button towards your spine.

  • Don't forget to breathe!
