As a physician, Juna was shocked at the epidemic of diseases that are related to lifestyle. Raising two amazing children inspired her to search for the best ways to inject wellness and resilience into her family. Along this amazing journey, Juna learned from legendary yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra (200hr Life of a Yogi teacher training), studied intensively at the Benson Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine and The Institute of Lifestyle Medicine at Harvard Medical School, studied Plant Based Nutrition at eCornell, and advanced to level 2 Kung Fu under Shifu Shi Yan Ming, 34th generation Shaolin Warrior Monk.
'Fusion Meditation' is a class Juna developed by merging ancient practices with cutting edge science. It’s the perfectly calculated dose of sitting meditation and action meditation (cardio and strength training) to balance and restore your mind and body. This class has been carefully designed to bring wellness off the mat and into your day.
Juna regularly teaches at schools (HS to Graduate) and organizations. She gives a series of workshops locally at Columbia Law School and Barnard College, and full year electives at NYU School of Medicine, The Juilliard School and Hoff Barthelson Music School. Juna teaches privately in NYC, CT, Rye and Online, to help clients manage toxic stress, performance anxiety, transitions, weight management, emotional regulation, and any physical diseases related to lifestyle imbalance.
Jen discovered meditation and mindfulness in 2010 while earning her certification as a Holistic Health Coach. This led her on a journey of helping herself and others create a deep sense of calm, love, courage, and self- acceptance.
Jen’s unique mix of mindfulness, and health and wellness knowledge helps her clients improve their overall health; mind, body and spirit. Developed over a six year period of intense study of human thoughts, emotions, food and its impact on everyday lives, Jen’s self-care process guides clients towards being more loving, calm and joyful. By creating simple, new rituals, Jen’s clients learn how to empower and nourish themselves from the inside out.
Jen’s training in Food as Medicine and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) has allowed her to provide deeper healing to her clients. Jen has improved her own health through the power of food, mind-body medicine, and a regular practice of yoga.
